The Cape Fear Serpentarium gives you a rare and up-close look at the reptile species. It houses one of the world’s largest reptile collections.
Owner Dean Ripa has collected some of the most exotic reptiles and venomous snakes from around the world. Each one is situated in a tank that closely resembles their natural environment. Some species are so rare, they are not exhibited anywhere else in the world!
With 6,000 square feet on two floors, Dean has hundreds on display.

The Cape Fear Serpentarium has been featured on Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Attache Magazine, Oxford American Magazine and Wilmington’s Star News. It is considered the world’s foremost reptile collections.
The Serpentarium is located on Orange Street in Wilmington, North Carolina, near the Cape Fear River. It is open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays and 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours may vary per the season. Call ahead to confirm.
Admission is $8.00 with children under 2 years of age free.
