Freedom Lawns Receives Environmental Award
Mark & Lynn Tamn at corporate office, receiving award.
Just about everyone has heard the new buzz words, "Going green", anywhere you may be. From television to highway signs, it seems the new focus is on our environment and how to lighten our "carbon foot" on the planet.
Mark Tamm, owner of the local Freedom Lawns, is one of our contributing writers and we think he's pretty important when it comes to educating others. He's highly knowledgeable in softening our environmental impact here in our community.
It seems that a few others have noticed, not only Mark's talent, but the need to recognize Freedom Lawns efforts to better the environment around us.
Freedom Lawns organic based lawn service was awarded the Pelican award by the North Carolina Coastal Federation during their annual meeting in Raleigh NC. Freedom Lawns was selected business of the year in the southeast region for their dedication to preserving our coastal resources and performing outstanding environmental services. The Freedom Lawns corporate headquarters is located in Hampstead, NC. The company has seven offices throughout the southeastern United States.
The North Carolina Coastal Federation is an organization that is focused on educating citizens on making sound decisions related to managing coastal resources. Its aim is to share technical information and resources to better represent current and long term economic, social, and environmental interests of the Carolina coast.
