About the author:
Hector John Gaudreau became interested in astrology during his early youth. Fascinated by public television's Cosmos series with Carl Sagan, to counter Sagan's belief that astrology was no more than an entertainment feature in local newspapers columns, he successfully set out to prove that Carl Sagan's views regarding astrology were absurd and incorrect. He accomplished that task to his satisfaction. He seriously began practicing astrology during the late 1970s.
The author has visited many foreign countries, resided in France for 2 years and in West Germany for more than 5 years. A decorated veteran, while a member of the U.S. Air Force, he served in combat during the Korean War, in 1952. He is also an accomplished commercial airplane pilot and flight instructor. Accomplished in art, he has produced hundreds of landscape and floral paintings in oils on canvas using painting knives. Adding to his accomplishments are his poetry and piano renditions and original contemporary and classical musical compositions for piano.
Mr. Gaudreau is presently producing landscape oil paintings on canvas which are not for sale, intended for his children and grand children after his parting. However, on a limited basis, he will accept commissions for portraits, in oil on stretched canvas, from a client's quality photograph or schedule a sitting for a photograph he will take at his home studio in Wilmington.
If you desire to commission a portrait in oils, please contact him at hgaudreau@ec.rr.com. In the subject block, type in the word 'portrait,' and in the text block, leave your name and telephone number and the best time you can be contacted.
